Oh shit! argh

argh... did it again, picked up an "Obstructing a Peace Officer" case. I think it's not as bad as the last Resisting Arrest case, but will probably mean some amount of jail time again.

Bilateral sprained ankles, a nice shiner, on crutches for the next week or so, might get a cane after that... court on the 24th... time to get a haircut...

Got a good lawyer, asked him if I could use my record as proof that I am violently allergic to police... we both laughed... maybe me more than him.

Bitch and Moan

Just at the moment that I was going to complain about getting a 35 Euro fine for riding my bicycle without lights. As much as I detest them, they seem to be slightly less terrible than the ones you have dans l'Amerique, or maybe I'm just too cooperative to really get on their bad side.
I hope that lawyer keeps you out of the can.

Entertaining/Nothing

Aw shit Joe, that's not cool. What happened this time?

Perhaps it will lead to some musical inspiration...or something.

yes, it's really not cool. Feeling like a complete dumbass. As far as what happened... not really sure... I know I was drunk and then the cops came and I only know that from third parties. The complaint says I pushed past a cop to hit someones' windshield... the person who owns the windshield says that I did not need crutches when they took me and that the whole thing was more funny than serious.

Mostly I just remember waking up in the police department and could barely walk. Wont really know what they wrote up in the police report until court. Sometimes when they do a real number on you they dont write up much, fingers crossed.

New "COPS" episode is up on Hulu today. I'll check to see if they.... Oh, wait, nevermind, like they're going to show *everything* on that show.

Heartfelt commiserations, I hope life gets a little more boring (without actually being boring).

I love how you have the exact same angle and expression in those pictures.

Awesome. Let us know how it goes and if we need to start a bail fund raising site soon.

After two days of no sleep...

and then a funny thing happened today. in the county where I had the aforementioned issue, I apparently have no priors.... I have never been in trouble before, other than this issue of course.

359.00 in fines and fees, 1,500.00 for the lawyer, 12-months of "unsupervised" supervision, do 30 hours community service for a not-for-profit of my own choosing and on my own time before July-Something. No trouble for 1 year or deal is revoked... maybe.

Still dealing with the injuries, potential for surgery in June, but even without pain meds, right now, they feel great. Cannot stop smiling.

Inbox cleared, no pressing tasks. Taking the afternoon off for a nice long nap.

Cannot Stop Smiling.

That is brilliant!

Time to go fishing.

Actually, I hate fishing. Time to be awesome. Oh, you already are.

Nothing to add really, but great news!

How bad did you end up getting hurt? Did it end up worse than sprained ankles?

Also, fishing is really fun if performed during correct moment in life; like when you want to sit around and say you're doing something but know you're accomplishing nothing but still feel good about that. Also helps if you're in a really nice boat.
